Namastē

Posted by Holger:

Namaste is a greeting of Sanskrit origin,
which is a language native to northern India.
It is a spiritual practice that acknowledges
the divinity in each other,
emphasizing the fact that we all have hearts
that feel and are the expression of the life force.
It is a way to remind us of the spiritual dimension
of the human condition,
and is used in many cultures to express the same sentiment.

The best of me greets you with the utmost respect and admiration.
I see the good in you, as I know of the goodness of myself.
The God in me recognizes and embraces the God in you.
Our souls are connected through the same source,
and I honor the spirit in you that is also in me.
My greeting acknowledges the equality of all
and honors the holiness and interconnectedness of all,
recognizing the source of that union.
I honor and revere the place in you
where the entire universe dwells,
that place of love, truth, and light.
I understand and acknowledge
that when you and I are both in that place
within us, we are one.
