Interestingly enough, I am familiar with the Mandukya, in fact it was the most helpful Upanishad of all for me; the one I remember the best when I went through them, and I was quoting it earlier this week to someone I am in a class with.
What struck me the most at the time was the explanation of the AUM symbol.
That made perfect sense to me.
I do not consider Advaita to be a religion, but a way of life;
a paradigm of existence;
a paradigm that is very close to my experience of being alive.
Advaita confirms my experience.
Lately I have been spending a good bit of time reading about Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Field theories which seem to me, to be saying the same things as Advaida Vedanta, or at least, different fingers pointing at the same moon.
I have also been re-reading the Parzival story, one that is close to my heart and mirrors my life in ways.
It is a concise yet poignant help for me to keep in mind the question “Whom Does the Grail Serve?”
That is a question that helps me re-member the quest/goal/reality and not get caught up in “The Bed of Wonders”(material desire body).
The Grail serves the Grail King (God/Brahman/Truth/ Love/ Awareness/, etc.).
